Was it the same season we absolutely destroyed Arsenal at home, hit the post 3 times and still had to score a last minute goal to draw 2-2. Seems ages ago.

Villa 4 Stoke 0

Lillis 2
Hepburn-Murphy
Rioch (N)

I miss those halcyon days. Mark Lillis, Neil Rioch and Rushian H-M used to link up so well together.

I've said it before and I'm going to have to say it again...we're long overdue a win. The football gods can't allow this drought to continue so the time has come.

Hughes may have improved things at Stoke, but they seem to have gone backwards this season whether that be due to injuries, out of form or just being generally shit. They are there for the taking but Hughes could set them up for an away point.

We need to get the ball down on the deck, play our high tempo football game and get stuck in. If the players aren't up for this and out to get 3pts then god help us...there shouldn't be any need for us to get frustrated if we're standing off them and aren't closing down, we should be all over them, chasing them down and putting them under pressure all over the park.

Dont care about the score as long as we win...and I wont be happy with anything other than a win.

its a must win, have we beaten Stoke at VP since they got promoted? 3-1 Villa !

Forgive me being really leftfield, but I predict we will take one decent corner too !

We beat them 1-0 one year when MO'N was in charge, they had a goal wrongly disallowed.
I think their fans are still celebrating that goal.

We wil win because we must. Form changes somewhere, for us it will be Saturday overhauling Stoke and Bournemouth in the process.

3-1, the first two goal gap of the campaign.

3-0 home win.

All Sherwood issues brushed under the carpet until the end of October.

1-0. Don't know who to, though.

Sure I heard Shakira went off with a hamstring problem last weekend, don't know if that's true. Or maybe it was his hips, they don't lie. Either way, if he's out, that's a bonus.

cant see this being a classic. Penultimate game on Motd , a game of very few chances and an odd goal winning it.
0-1 away win.

stoke will kick the crap out of us and gain a minimum of a draw. We are crap at this sort of physical game. Still, we have super Ashley Westwood in the middle of the park, what can possibly go wrong?
