Home record.
« on: September 19, 2015, 07:30:15 PM »
Just reluctantly reading the BBC match report and they had this stat:

Quote
Villa's long-suffering home fans have now seen them pick up only 71 points from 73 home Premier League games since December 2011 - with little from this performance indicating things are about to change.

So in a near enough 4 year period now we've averaging less than a point a game in home games. Incredible.

I did honestly think we'd start to crack it under Sherwood with the home games we were starting to win in the run in last season but 0/3 this season including failing to beat the division's whipping boys in Sunderland.

We have won 18 (I think) home games in three seasons, says it all really. Definitely not worth getting a ST, with stats like that.

That's why we cant fuck about with that "give him a couple of seasons" routine any more. It is just beyond a joke.

I'm surprised it's that many.

How does it compare to every other team in the universe over the same period? Maybe we're world beaters at something.

Well, looking on the bright side we have outperformed Denso.

Me too. It's actually 16 league wins :o

No home wins so far this season out of three attempts !! Fourth time lucky?

I kind of agree but we can't keep sacking managers especially when most of our previous managers can't even win at home

Our record at home is getting bloody embarrassing now.  I doubt there's another top flight club in Europe with as diabolical record in front of their own fans as us.  Even under MON we were invariably better on the road.

Is it 16 or 18 home wins in that time? It doesn't actually matter - either way those wins are from 79 games (four and a bit seasons). The record is appalling and it is a testament to the patience of our supporters that attendances haven't dropped significantly.

At some point I expect the same shit will get spouted about our players being nervous to play at VP because of the fans expectations. From the club, that is.

Truly fucking woeful statistics.

The stat is 20 home league wins in four seasons (plus the two home league games this season so far).

it really is a hideous stat.

3 league games this season. We'll win at home again before we ever get this stat right!
