Wasn't this the day that SGT wasn't at the game because he was at his daughter's wedding or graduation?
Definitely in my top five away days.On our last visit there we only took about 300 or so. It was our last game in the top flight after the disastrous Billy McNeill/Graham Turner campaign. I think we lost 3-1, and despite some gallows humour, it was all fairly depressing. So going back there in such numbers, and while we only grabbed a draw, at the time it felt like a massive statement, 'Villa are back!'Shame about the tossers sitting above us chucking coins at us, while the cops just stood and watched (when they weren't chucking us out)
Wasn't this the day of The Fog on the way home ?Worst fog I've ever known , we drove into a field accidentally it was that bad

Shame about the tossers sitting above us chucking coins at us, while the cops just stood and watched (when they weren't chucking us out)I was at the last game of he relegation season in May 1987 and we took thousands. I think we were very conscious of the fact we had been on a downward spiral for a while and may not be back at grounds like OT quickly. Luckily it was only for one season.A reasonable number of old C Crew in the stand to the left as well.
