Sums it all up well.

To blow away 5 points to the likes of Leicester and Sunderland is just frustrating and so ridiculously avoidable.  Sherwood needs to shape up a little here because both results were down to his tactical blunders, and not some technical uber Coach stuff either.  These were absolute basics.

Yep. If chances had been put away and stupid mistakes avoided in the last 2 games then we'd be sitting in the Europa League places this evening. The margins between being a good top half team and avoiding a relegation scrap are really small and it doesn't help if we keep shooting ourselves in the foot.

O'Neill had a very lax approach to fitness and we consistently look knackered after 25-30 games.
Houllier decided the best way to deal with the fitness situation was to immediately double training volumes and help to create the longest injury list in Villa's history.
Under both we had a habit of conceding late goals in games.

McDoom - sorry I can't remember. Still not long enough ago not to shudder.

Lambert - plenty of things wrong but can't recall (specifically) fitness being one of them.

Sherwood. Seems to be an issue. A big one. Running out of steam an hour into each game, 6 games into a season when you should be more or less at peak fitness suggests an underlying problem.

spot on Article, Echos my thoughts exactly.

People keep asking me if I'm gutted today and to be honest I'm not.

We've seen it so many times and we could all see that coming a mile off yesterday.
