Last thing at night, first thing in the morning. Their obsession consumes and defines them.

I always like the way they start of chatty and reasonable and then the bile and venom begin to rapidly rise - you know they just want to post a stream if incomprehensible expletives.

To then finally scuttle off back to a Small Heath forum to inform the few that he's spent a few days winding up Da Vile.

If you lose are we going to see you again savospit? Also, do you normally call the Shit 'blues' or do you have any other fun terminology for them? As you say it's a villa forum so you can share your funny names for The Shit with us.

I was watching Sherwood being interviewed and he was asked if the new players know how big a game it is.  He said yeah, we've been telling them.  Have they thought about putting some of the old games on telly for them and letting them see how intense it is on and off the pitch?  Surely the sight of Dion bopping Savage and King Olof striding majestically off the pitch should get them wound up.

I dare say I'll be wide awake at 3am when this is on - we should have more than enough to smash them.  Provided we turn up of course - which unfortunately we don't seem to be doing very often...

But I'll go for 2.1 home win.  Stay off the pitch please boys and girls.

The important thing is to get the balance right.

In 03.03.03, the players reacted too much to the atmosphere and it boiled over. Play with intensity, but use your natural and superior ability and we will wallop this second division shite.

They'll know. As soon as they get to the ground they'll know. The atmosphere around these games are different to any others and they'll sense it. The first time they run out onto the pitch for a warm-up they'll cotton in and the game is something different. By the time its kick-off the noise will be amazing.

Forget your North London, Scouse, or Manchester bollocks this is where its at. Admittedly I've never been to any other derbies but the only ones that come across as at a higher intensity is rangers - Celtic, Liverpool - Man U (although that is losing the deep resentment), and no doubt there will be some strange smaller derby - like Mansfield - Chesterfield or something - that is more hate fueled.

I'm looking forward to it -easy when you're not in birmingham - but then again I was looking forward to last Saturday's game convinced of victory.
