Purely anecdotal I know, but I only know one in which two brothers are split in this way.
Would that be Gary and Craig ?

Went to High School in Redditch in the 80's. It was all Villa, Man Utd, Liverpool with a few Boggies in that order and I'm talking from a School of 450.

Can think of 3 Noses that was all.  Ironically theere was one Man Utd fan who was staunch, had all their kits everything in the 80's.  Some years later I met him again and congratulated him on his choice as all that waiting had finally paid off.  He informed me that he'd 'swapped' to Blose around 1991!!

slightly off topic but are there certain parts of the city traditionally Villa and Blues? Families split down the middle type thing or not?

I would venture that there are Villa strongholds where are hardly any noses, but in the areas where b-losers are more populous there are still loads of Villa.

Spot on.
Villa are a city-wide supported club, particularly dominant in the North of the city. This really bugs them as well.
Their stronghold of Solihull still has loads of Villa.

You could have fooled me regarding Solihull being their stronghold. Although I suspect most of them go out of their way to avoid me. Which hurts my feelings because I am always happy to chat with them about their club.

Sorry Damo, I should have been more specific ie. NORTH Solihull ☺

i think it must be more common than we think sometimes

it always makes me wonder when pauliewalnuts talks about his father being a nose, i just cant imagine that,
but then again my father is a Man Utd fan, so not much difference, but we did come from up there

my son went to school in Newport Pagnell with a lad who was Villa and blues, yes you heard correct

his Father was a nose and his Granddad was Villa, they both competed for his allegiance, when his Grandad died he went all over to Blues, and gave all his Villa related stuff to my lad, his dad took him every week and he ended up hating Villa, still mates though

The surrounding areas Cheltenham, Lichfield, Worcester are virtually Blues free zones but do have their fair share of Manc, Liv, glory hunters (and Cheltenham Town for those with special needs).

Agree as far as Worcester is concerned, but I heard recently that there is now a Blues-minded pub in the city. Didn't have that in my day (up to early 90s) - mainly Villa along with the aforementioned "never been to a game" Liverpool and ManU fans.

Droitwich, however, was always a different kettle of fish. Plenty of Villa but also loads of noses.

I also have a spare reference which I imagine will qualify for a ticket if any regulars are struggling for one.
I've got mine (cup scheme), but my daughter (10 years season ticket holder until she went to college), would love to go.  I've p.m.'d you.

Just replied pal, be in touch tomorrow

I can only imagine what a ''blue minded'' pub looks like. Something like the pub from the first Star Wars film no doubt.

To be honest lot more noses where I am ( Chelmsley) but fair few villa. Their biggest strongholds seem to be Sheldon, Yardley and possibly Solihull but I think that's about it.

I hail from 'The North of the Borough' originally, at my school it was a pretty even 50/50 split, I cant mind any Liverpool or Man Utd fans, or WBA come to that. My family are a pretty evenly split down the middle as well even though most of them live in the traditional SHA strongholds.

I dont mix with a lot of my family.

I'm from the other side of the motorway (B35), very much a Villa stronghold when I lived there in the 70's & 80's.
I have a massive family spread all over Brum and we're (almost) 100% Villa apart from one renegade cousin from Weoley Castle who is Wolves bizarrely enough.

In Erdington we have both sets of supporters, Holte K and Holte L, it was rumoured once that there was someone who had a ticket for the Trinity,

Reassuringly, my Albion-supporting mate from Worcester says it's a shithole.

There's plenty of Villa in Yardley too. It really annoys Noses as they think it should be "theirs".
