Really surprised to see that the Baggies game is heading for a bigger crowd than this one. I thought after years without playing SHA more people would be itching to get down, even if it's midweek and an early round of the League Cup.
They are all itching to get down, but...it's the night shift innit Tom!

The big difference is that you start the Stripeys game with around 20,000 tickets sold already and Small Heath with whoever's in the cup scheme, which is a lot less.

Still busy on the phone lines to the ticket office so assume selling well and whatever happens I'm sure the final attendances for both games will be something our neighbours can only dream of!

The minute it got past 30K it was already something they could only dream of.

I would guess we're looking at 40,000 and 36,000 respectively.

10 internet points for the person who can tell me the last time either the Stripey Filth or Small Heath topped either of those gates.

It's all very well comparing our gates to our 2 nearest and dearest neighbours, but if we want to get back to being a big club, we need to compare ourselves with teams a bit more relevant than those that have won two trophys between them in the last 50 years and are completely irrelevant outside of the West Midlands.

If we want to get back to being a big club then we need to start by finishing above the Albion more than once every 4 years.

Doubt the Bitters will be close to 40K, there's nearly a thousand tickets available on Seatwave.

Without doubt. It really shouldn't be too difficult either, they've managed two top-half finishes in the last 30-odd years.

I think we'll get between 36,000- 39,000, beat Albion Saturday then can see it being a full sell out. Parents will be scared to take kids, hopefully they give the reference to other Villa fans if they can't go though, need to make the Scum intimidated.
