Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves. And I thought they all live here?

i used to go to school with that chick

Did she have free dinners?
probably. You might be interested to know her brother was a top Mod round nuneaton. She wasn't the sharpest tool in the box though.

I went to a Mod 'do' in Numeaton a few years ago. It was quite a good one. Caught the train over with a few b-lose mates to meet a few other noses over there, so there are a few. Good lads as it goes, if a bit obsessed with hooliganism. Went back to one of their houses after and they had all the books.

They can read!

treakle town scooter club are all good lads, maybe a bit unconventional lol
always been a large contingent of mods/ scooterists in Nuneaton. Our school was rife with them. And yes, unconventional is a very apt description!

Had some great Mod/scooterist nights in smallish Midland towns. Polesworth is a particular favourite with the B500 scooter club.

I was bored the other day and ended up looking through their "memories from the 80's" photos on the Mail website.

Which consists of two entries of the same picture of them celebrating having beaten us in the Birmingham Senior Cup, various shots of long forgotten journeymen toiling in front of sparse terracing, a shot of Ron Saunders walking up the touchline apparently at St Andrews but it's clearly Villa Park, and about another third in total of various rioting.

What a shit club they are.

still cant believe saunders left us to manage them
i remember we played them a week or so after at st andrews
and throughout the match villa fans sung
"you must be fuckin mad ,saunders saunders "

Was that the boxing day game ?
A season where their ave crowd was about 13k then come the Christmas game it was a 44k crowd.
Good following of Villa that day

no ,,,,,,,we won one nil

They still do Stratford every year with a lot more than 300 last time I went. Even Billy Bragg was on that one.

Anyone who thinks it's just a case of turning up for this game needs to think again after today's jaw dropping stupidity.  Blues really ought to fancy their chances of beating us.

I saw about 50 odd scooters passing through the Wheatsheaf lights at around 11 today. Despite the number it still sounded like a distant wasp....

We used to bash the bejesus out of each other on Curzon St, assault each other's players in nightclubs and both used a dismantled Austin Ambassador as an offensive weapon in the Rocky Lane unpleasantness. Now posting on the other teams website is something to boast about.

No wonder we didn't get a mention in the last Daily Star Top 10 UK Derbys. For shame.

Met up with various Scooter Clubs in Atherstone today and had a cracking day. Came home to watch the match on telly and f*cked my evening up. Just glad my Lambretta never lets me down.

There never used to be any blosers in treacle town 20-30 years ago. A handful (5 or 6) albion, but no blues. Distinctly remember visiting my mum and dad around 2003/4 and seeing a shirt wearing nose in tk maxx in town. First one I'd seen there. Plenty of cov rats always has been, but had never seen any noses prior to that.

Is that an auto correct? If not, why 'treacle town'?
it's what the people from bedrock charitably call us. The origins are a bit hazy, but something to do with the traffic, if I'm not mistaken.

No, it's because you're thick and slow.
