Even if it's played at 6am on a Thursday they'll still come in a convoy of coaches.

Isn't it the Albion who come on coaches?

Amusingly, they both do. More coaches from small heath though.

No thread is complete without a poll. I think we should have one to allow us to guess the number of coaches they will bring.

I'm going with more than the usual 20 odd they bring.

Indeed. For all their talk about being so hard and us being a load of divs in bobble hats, most of them are actually scared of coming to the game on public transport.

Tossers.

I must admit that I am never anywhere near the "away end" as I park the Holte end of the ground ....but do they really get coaches from the Sty to Villa Park ???   all of how many miles ? 3 or 4...

They usually have a firm of about 150 who make their own way but get wrapped up by the OB, then around 24 coach loads from the Sty. I think we have three coaches go to the Sty, from places like Cheltenham etc.

That bus off the wood on derby day was quite a journey mate.

The only time I was really scared was when I tool this little Mod stalker I had from Marston Green with me. He latched on to me a few months previous (as you know I was the local ace-face) and I took him to his first Mod night, first Northern allnighter etc., and now it was time for his first Villa-B-lose game. He turned up at the bus stop, not in his Mod gear, but in a claret and blue jumper his nan had knitted which had 'ASTON' knitted down one sleeve and 'VILLA' down the other. I was absolutely shitting myself that somebody I knew would see me with him.

To be fair it is only because they get a discount for using the same coaches they use regularly to ferry them to and from their special needs schools and adult learning facilities. I like the date of the fixture. New York had 9/11, Birmingham will have 9/22.

Is it definitely a 7.45 kick off? Is there any chance they could change the kick off time nearer the game? If I am going to have to have the 'big hand on the/small hand on the' conversation with any noses I don't want to have to explain it all over again to them if they change the kick off.

Anybody remember a friendly we played in about 1994 mid-week to mark he opening of the Kop and Tilton, where after the game you couldn't leave through one of the exits as there was a cascade of piss streaming down from he ceiling.

I was there with my dad and blues uncle in the kop corner. I was terrified, my dad took it all in his stride, Villa scored and he cheered - I can hear it now - "GOAL!" he wasn't jumping about or anything just a fist pump. Got told he was a Villa bollox but had no trouble at all.

Still no ticket news? Don't they normally announce it by now?

Maybe they're thinking that if they don't announce anything, we'll all forget about it, and that'll make it go away?

Maybe the hold up is how fewer tickets the Villa should be given as Blues will take over 3/4 of Villa Park

Not forgetting the 30,000 Neanderthals at Villa Park in person, the Sty, the Nou Camp, Wembley, the Bernabau, the Maracana, Allianz Stadium, Stadio Olympico in Rome and Ibrox are all showing the game on big screens - that way all 500,000 Blues fans who would have inevitably gone to the game have another outlet to view the match against the Vile (gerrit).
