that horrible night when dublin nutted savage and we lost 2 nil  they were scattered across the ground
but they havent been seen anywhere apart from the away section in the villa blues matches at villa park since

That night shocked them. It was the night we sank to their level.

Not really. Its always been one of the nastiest derbies going, the difference in 2003 was that they had bought in to all of the nonsense and thought they could do as they pleased, with the Mail having its part to play in that.

I hope they are going to bang on the windows of the coaches, I like it when they do that, it re-enforces all the stereotypes about them.

I'd imagine that pubs in town will be closing early?  Policing that will be a nightmare

Didn't they say that a midweek night game wouldn't be allowed again?

Talking of piss, I am reminded of the time in the not that distant a past when (and this is the absolute truth) they could tell if they had a big home attendance by measuring how far the piss from the men's toilets at the top of the Kop had streamed down towards the front, it was that bad.

I just love all the shit they come out with - in my case lads who NEVER go to watch them, yet they're going to come to this one.  Better still, they'll just get seats in the Holte - there'll be loads of them in there apparently.  Clowns.

Wouldn't they need to either own a season ticket or have Villa Cash to get a ticket in the Holte or any Villa end? Demand for this will be huge because you've got loads of people who never go to games trying to get a ticket and I think even they'll struggle without much of a history home or away.

cup semi final went doxn to just a booking history and that was for 32.5k tickets so cant see tickets being an issue

There were blue lights up by the Flyover bridge after the game...anything to do with that?

I must admit that I am never anywhere near the "away end" as I park the Holte end of the ground ....but do they really get coaches from the Sty to Villa Park ???   all of how many miles ? 3 or 4...

Public health concern to minimize contact with the general public?

I remember before the Cahill game me and my sister were waiting to cross the road at Six Ways when their coaches appeared, we couldn't believe how many there were. As we were in colours, as they passed us they were of course mostly acting like knobs, we both just kept smiling and waving, which seemed to annoy them even more. Even the copper on the bike in front of us laughed when I said it looked they were coaching in the extras for a new Dawn of the Dead movie.

It would be nice if we all wore Carson masks.

Anybody remember a friendly we played in about 1994 mid-week to mark he opening of the Kop and Tilton, where after the game you couldn't leave through one of the exits as there was a cascade of piss streaming down from he ceiling.

No thread is complete without a poll. I think we should have one to allow us to guess the number of coaches they will bring.

I'm going with more than the usual 20 odd they bring.

Indeed. For all their talk about being so hard and us being a load of divs in bobble hats, most of them are actually scared of coming to the game on public transport.

Tossers.

I must admit that I am never anywhere near the "away end" as I park the Holte end of the ground ....but do they really get coaches from the Sty to Villa Park ???   all of how many miles ? 3 or 4...

UTV
The Doc

I didn't believe it either,
Untill I had a season ticket in the cheap north stand lower section and when we played them I saw a load of coaches near DW's old selling patch when leaving after the game

I actually took some photos on my my phone, must still have them somewhere but to non technical to post
There was about 20 if I remember correctly

The Club laid on transport to carry Villa Fans to the Sty from VP a while back.

So I do not see what the big deal is.
