Liverpool away - Sat 26 Sep 2015 [Ticket News]
« on: August 19, 2015, 09:11:09 AM »
After booking my League Cup ticket, I asked the TO when tickets for Liverpool will be on sale.

They say that ticket sales for this gave have been "postponed" while they deal with the cup tickets.

Tickets will probably go on sale next week.

1,800? Seems a bit paltry?

1,800? Seems a bit paltry?

They seem to be adopting a policy this season of only requesting the minimum allocation and asking for more if there is sufficient demand. Don't forget that any unsold tickets over the minimum, the club will still get charged for and at £45 a pop, that's potentially more than £50k the club would be liable for.

This has been happening for some games for the last couple of seasons at least. There's a thread somewhere where I posted the reasoning that the TO gave me (which basically matches that outlined by Joe)

Why is it "pathetic" ??
£47 is a ridiculous price , it's a bloody expensive day out when you add on transport costs etc

It was an initial allocation, as with Crystal Palace and Leicester, so I assume there's scope to request more if there's sufficient demand.

how do they know if there is more demand, people like me who book on-line just get the 'sold out' sign and that's it, they wont know how many people want tickets

I asked the ticket office today and they said they aren't expecting to get any more. When I asked about the 1800 being low (compared to previous seasons) the girl said she wouldn't know but thinks it was all they would give us, which sounded odd
