Aston Villa were hoping it would be a case of he came, he saw he conquered for Adama.

Instead, like Lamptey, he came, he scored in the League Cup, he conked out.

What a ghastly piece of writing from Mr. Kendrick. Reading it sorely vexed me and I had to meditate for a good five minutes  to purge it from my memory banks.

The worry in the back of my mind is that Adama is not a footballer. Yes, he got mad skillz etc but so do those keepy-uppy champions, and other tricksters. But you don't usually see them turning out for professional clubs.

In that sense, not the new Nii Lamptey but the maybe new Michael Boulding. His strengths may lie in other sports.

Ronaldo was all tricks and little product at a similar age, often ridiculed by opposition fans.  One thing Ronaldo is clearly blessed with is a massive work rate/vanity/ego - he is/was determined to be the best.  I suspect Barca would not have sold Traore if he has similar attributes however there is a massive distance between a Lamptey and Ronaldo where he can still be useful to us.
