I can't wait to hear Shearer talk about that header.

If that goal was words it'd be 'fuck' and 'off'.

Cheers. I think Micah would have got it if Rudy hadn't also watch very good "work" 😉by Clark!

Tony Gale was creaming himself over that header.

At least he didn't say today that if Clark continues to improve he may get a chance with England lol. The commentator was gushing about Bournemouth for all 95 minutes I thought

I had the pleasure of watching the match as prawn sandwich guest. It's an awful stadium with poor facilities but I guess that's due to their history. I thought we played ok as it's almost a new team that was playing against a very successful joined up team full of confidence from their exploits of last season. We were also playing against all the hype and  their fans expectations of a party and huge noise level. If we can keep out of trouble in the first third of the season than we will improve and grow as a cohesive unit. Before that we are going to run into trouble against better teams. Like others I liked Amavi and Gueye however Veretout and Ayew were no too bright probably due to lack of football. I would like to see Ayew and Gestede line up against manure. Almost missed the goal due to fat bloke who decided to stand up in front of me  to shout at the ref for giving us a corner. However I thought they were a friendly bunch and tolerated my clinched fist celebration.

What a numpty Howe is...U11 defending against a lower league goal then. They had neither Gestede or Richards marked.

What pleased me most was Tim saying afterwards that the tactics were to keep it very tight and restricted first half to dampen down the party atmosphere, then open up and go for it a little more second half...job done. Who says he's tactically naive ?

Evening Olaftab, I thought Veretout showed a few glimpses of his class and will improve in the near future, seemed a bit short fitness wise. Ayew weren't great but I think he also showed a little bit. Gureye (Gana) was really good IMO and Amavi can become the best left back I have seen in my 45 years of watching the club if he stays for 3 years. By then I think he will be a top top player

To be fair we were lucky to be level at half time

Ayew really struggled but I think playing him on the right didn't do him any favours. He looked lost there. If he has to play wide, he generally plays on the left, but his preference is through the middle.

To be even fairer, they managed 2 shots on target the whole game. They lost, fuck 'em. They'll soon be relegated and back to struggling to pull in 6k at home.

It's Saturday night. Alcohol is being consumed; what I like about Sherwood is he seems not to be too stubborn and he's willing to learn from his mistakes/recognise when something's not working.

Good point.  His ability to learn, change things, is not something I was expecting.  Also it is not in a flaky way, he still has his strong beliefs but he is way more flexible, maybe studious that I thought he would be.

His transfer targets too were way more imaginative than I was expecting.

My point was they should have been ahead at half time, sorry if you don't agree but no need to be sarcastic.

The control and move when Vertetout pulled down the ball that had snow on it from westwood was just sublime. I think that was a sign of things to come.

As for Gana/Gueye......I love him already.
But, as was mentioned in another post, can't we just call him Marvin?

I wasn't being sarcastic. It aimed at the media Bournemouth wankathon, not you.
