How are we doing fitness wise for Saturday?  Not too bad. My arthritis is bad and I have this pain in my knee but nothing that will keep me from the game. Thank you for asking.

Knees!
In the last three weeks I've put down battens, new/old oak floorboards and new skirting boards, waxing the lot, buffing (oooohhh eerrrh Mrs!) and polishing.
I no longer have knees - just lumps of indeterminate stuff - bits of bone, sinew, blood, gristle, gravel and sawdust - where my knees used to be!

I'll be fine for an early start on Saturday though.

Having an injury doesn't stop a medical being passed.

We signed Stewart Downing with a broken foot.

Fully fit and available....

except for hypertension, diabetes and farmer giles

so probably no different to ade, mabutt and the rest of last years squad (but they were a real pain in the arse at times)
