Not a lot of movement in this division, this time.

Again, sorry to Goldie7 and Vancouver, the first victims. Relegations of the bottom 2 happen every 6 games. There is precedent for this, it just didn't happen last season.  Consequently, divisions got clogged up with teams who had dropped out several games before. It has to apply across the divisions, though, as there are promotions as well.

If there are more than 2 teams on the same points at the bottom when the next 6 week point comes up, I will just defer to the next game and it's resolved that way.

It forces everyone to guess an unrealistically high amount which, in my opinion, spoils some of the fun of guessing. Maybe extra bonus points if Villa win and people get within a thousand or two of the crowd? Sorry to be negative.

Thanks for the comments, CDBWFan, Legion.  Since Villa haven't won yet it hasn't yielded any results, although I take your point about it already affecting guesses. TBH, I haven't noticed that it did for lots of players, but it might well have done, of course. No argument there!

I was trying to think of a way to spread a few bonuses around!

The regular Brucie has finally been won this week, but I thought it would be nice to have a little something for GTC players if we won.  God knows, it's been a long time! 

At first, I thought that it could be an extra 3 points for the win for everybody.  That just keeps everybody where they would be but 3 points higher.  Nice for totals but not really impacting the competition.  Hence, identifying guessers over the odds, as I commented about when I launched it. i.e.: Who is going to go for the 4 points? Who is going to do what they would have done..?

I really like the idea of including guesses within 2,000 either way, which would mean +3 points being extended that far. That still preserves the integrity of guessing the crowd and yields a bonus to a large number of players, which is what I was after.

The idea is to run the Brucie Twist until the Villa get a League win and then reintroduce it for a match a few games down the line.  It's not on for tonight (LeagueCupXtras), for instance, and it's not supposed to be a constant feature. The regular Brucie is that. 

I would appreciate other comments and if I get the go-ahead from other players, I will amend the Brucie Twist accordingly.

We have not begun GTC 6 yet, so if you would like to comment on this, please do so.  I am due to launch GTC 6 tomorrow night and it would be great to have some more opinions before I do.  It might take a break until there's a clear opinion, as I appreciate that this is a very short window of opportunity to let me know what you think!

Why not mix the two ideas? So [say] bonus 3 points within 2000 [or whatever figure you choose] and extra 3 points if within 2000 AND and the Villa win? [so 6 if the miricle happens, a win at home and within 2000 of the crowd?]
