Pre-season 1977 Spain

Link to a Spanish newspaper report

http://hemeroteca.mundodeportivo.com/preview/1977/08/11/pagina-5/1025620/pdf.html

Anybody able to decipher Spanish? (the way the on-topic treads have developed today, I’m sure someone could slip some REM lyrics in there somewhere!)
I am barely literate at the best of times, so there’s no chance of me getting to grips with another language aswell.
Anyway, it shows the 3-4 loss to Anderlecht in the IV Trofeo Villa de Bilbao (I don’t what that is either).
Look at the team, conceded 4 goals despite starting with 2 goalkeepers! (Gray & Deeham not fit enough to start the game, so Saunders put Findlay up front.

As nobody else has, I'll reply. Good stuff - didn't know the scorers in that game - think I do now.

there seems to be a bit of phonetic spelling going on with our teamsheet.  At a guess Ruttres was full back Michael Buttress, and one of the subs, Drhy (for Frank Carrodus) was Andy Gray. Deehan is down as a starter, supposedly partnering Leighton Phillips in defence, with 'Evans' up front. Could be Alan Evans before he was converted to a centre back. All of which sheds no light on the other sub, Defhan. Which could have been another Evans rather than another Deehan.

Chris Nicholl had already left for Southampton, I don't know exactly when Ken McNaught joined but I thought he would have arrived before August 10/11th.

I get the goalscorers to be Mortimer, one of the Deehans maybe from a Robson cross and any one of a Gray header from near the penalty spot after a Buttress cross, a Gray penalty after Buttress has been fouled or Buttress from a Gray knock down near the penalty spot.

Or something else completely.

I wonder if it was Robbie Resenbrink scoring (a hat trick?) for Anderlecht.

David Evans?
