I don't feel good about Villa when Archie doesn't.

He struggled to be in the starting XI in my local team, Padova, in Italian Serie B.
Hutton is much better.
After this and the Delph statement published on the OS  we have become the joke of the Premier League.

No we haven't, don't be so melodramatic.

Got to agree Archie. We've lost two very good players but we have before and we probably will again. It might turn out to be a blessing in disguise, who knows. Joke of the premiership is a way over the top.

He is a 500k utility man. Not sure what the fuss is about, if he is half decent it is a bonus. Considering how many injuries we pick up back there, if this fella can defend and sport a beard at the same time then I am all for it. Plus, we can get Crespo on our shirts and pretend he is the good one.

It strikes me that so far this summer - for the first time in a long while - it feels like we've approached this window with a list of requirements, and a list of players, several for each position, to go and get to fill them.

It's like we've been methodical about who we want to sign, much like other clubs have been doing for a long while.

Early days yet and we still have a lot of business to do, but it is encouraging thus far.

I don't know how to best describe it, but the suspicion lots of us had that we'd go out and sign Tom Huddlestone, Andros Townsend and whichever dross Spurs had on their bench, what we've seen is mostly the opposite of that.

I'm pissed off we didn't go for Sneijder and he's now gone to Dundee United.

Agree and that's why it's good to see how a window pans out rather than panicking at every shit link. If we've learnt nothing else at all it's the media knows next to nothing about the players we are actually interested in. In fact in almost every case with the exception of Adebayor they've been wrong. With a few weeks to go in the window I still feel there will be quite a few ins and outs.

I can remember when we thought Bruce Rioch was the Dogs, we sold him, and maybe through rose tinted spectacles , I believe we went on quite a good run. So yes players they will come and they will go, when the rain washes you clean you will know. oops sorry got side tracked there, only Fleetingly though Mac

They were a good band, I liked the one that sounded like a goat.

Joe Bennett is taking a lot of stick on here, I still think, theres a very good player there, he was a young player coming into a poor team.

2 out of 3 ain't bad ...  but you're wrong on the one that matters
