I'm completely at a loss as to what these posters/posts are meant to achieve.
Would a capcha thingy on sign-up stop them or are they real people?
I presume they are real people, as well as Captcha on sign up they have to answer two questions as well, this also applies to their first three posts.
As to what they are trying to achieve, email addresses would be my guess.
