Normally you can't keep him out the press & always up for a quote but not heard a word from him in a week now, obviously losing 2 players in that time!!!
Unless I missed it not even a few words after the friendlys, should I be worried??

Perhaps he is being kept away from the press after he gave the only on the record comment on the lack of takeover

I understand he's gone on holiday with Tom Fox and Hendrik Almstadt.

^ This.

Got a feeling Mr. Fox has asked him to maybe be a little more quiet about things when talking to the press.  Just my opinion.

He's too busy overseeing the office staff working on all the offers for new players which are being prepared for submission.

He is probably sat in his office at Bodymoor banging his head repeatedly on the desk and saying  "oh what the f*** have I got myself into this time"....

I think he's secretly fuming about the departures of delph and benteke as he would have liked to have built a team around those alongside the quality additions he has secured in Richards , amavi and gueye .
Perhaps he's been advised not to speak to media.

He must surely have known keeping Benteke was a big and unlikely task. I'm sure Delph having the clause in his contract made him think though...

I understand he's gone on holiday with Tom Fox and Hendrik Almstadt.

I heard they are on a road trip around Europe in a minibus trying to pick up talent.  It's rumoured that they have caught up with Paddy Reilly somewhere in central Europe.  Along the way they have had quite a few questionable guys approaching them claiming to be George Weah's son.
