Heres the complete Carrott football skits off his Best Of DVD. The Tony Butler stuff is towards the end. I know some Villa fans have no time for the Carrott but I like him.

I got his books Sweet And Sour Labrador and Little Zit On The Side when I was in my early teens and loved the football and BRMB stuff. I've told the story on here before about meeting him briefly around that time when he visited a neighbours house and me being well impressed by the fact he had a white Jag XJS just like The Saint.

I had those books, "ere Tone, he's pissed off !"

Butler used to tell the story of when BRMB was in Aston Road North he got talking to Andy Williams. The famous American singer had just been interviewed and had a bit of time to spare so Butler had an idea. They toddled down the road to The Avenue ( I think it was) and Butler bought him a pint! I miss him and his prayer mat.

He was completely original and unique, said it as he saw it and was interesting to talk and listen to, I remember calling the Friday night phone in more than once and putting my opinions across. If he was doing that show these days, I wonder what he'd make of players earning in excess of 2 or 3 hundred thousand a week !
