Same here, every time the sport came in all Sunday I changed the channel. I deleted all final coverage within seconds of the game ending and turned off the tv, went to the spare room, vented my frustration on H & V and stared at ceiling till it got light.

The defeat was so comprehensive though at least there was no "what if" moment to send us mad.

I was flying home from Belfast whilst the game was being played. I havent watched any highlights, read no reports .  So as far as I'm concerned,  it never happened .

Why are you masochists doing this to yourselves? I've avoided it like the plague since the final whistle.

Same here. Haven't seen a second of footage from the game and didn't get any of the newspapers on Monday.
Stopped watching after the second went in.  I just knew it would only get worse.

I had a flick through the programme on the train home on Sunday. I'm hoping in a few weeks, I'll be able to give it a read.

I also bought three programmes. One was for the bloke whose reference I used for my ticket as a thank you (I did get him a bottle of brandy as well so not too cruel), the other two are for my young nephew and a mate's kid. Motivation for the latter two was that such a shiny, bright record of a historic event will play a part in their choice of team. So, I'm probably responsible for two more Arsenal fans for the world.

What on earth is Benteke thinking for that 3rd goal

"Thank Christ I won't be playing for this shower next season" probably.

Is this knock Benteke week? You've even managed it on a thread which is not even about him.

Watching that I was also left wondering who pulled the shirt over the head of the other Arsenal player in the box.

The game was obviously well and truly over as a contest, but the efforts of Sanchez and Bacuna for their 4th was shocking.

Also NZ is at fault for not tracking Walcott but the whole of the defence were sucked into the 6yd box and didn't respond to the loose ball.

Saying that, I'm not sure we should be picking out individually errors when the whole team were absolutely shite on the day..."Villa couldn't play any worse if they tried" was one of the comments made on the programme.

Oh those tarquins. Bloody hell. They might as well have been skipping around with their thumbs round their suspenders. The Dick Van Dyke brigade.

I quite liked that Villa girl, who had all the shirts. I could start a whole new conundrum thread right there.

EDIT- Just seen her with that bloody horn (watching the repeat as we speak)...and that's not giving me the horn. Changed my mind. Can't be doing with that.

Typical uber-Tarquin as I walked back to Wembley Park tube - came off his mobile having proclaimed how "absolutely marvelous, darling" it felt before proceeding to teach his son the French words for various parts of the body. I was tempted to call him un branleur

A hired double decker bus full of Gooners made its way to Wembley last week past the Black Lion in Kilburn. I would say categorically they were not Tarquins

Could they have been the same mob that went past us at The Swiss Cottage throwing wanker signs?

You get the impression most Arsenal fans didn't get overly excited about winning the Cup and have probably forgotten about it already.

I would have lived off an FA Cup win for a mighty long time!

I wish I hadn't watched the programme now though. I'd avoided all Football up until that point.
