Oh yes, one positive was us handing over Dave Cooper's surprise ticket on the Friday night. He has had a rough trot recently and that moment where he realised how highly his mates thought of him, coupled with the emotion of what has been going on in his personal life, meant there were quite a few tears.

Sudden sandstorm inside the pub, grit in my eye.
It was a fantastic moment.

To think I nearly cancelled my trip down to London a couple of days before because Amanda had a tooth infection, luckily we pumped her full of pain killers and wine and all was well.

Meet some great mates I had not seen for ages, people came over from America, Greece, Cyprus, Spain , Oz and nearer to B6, me from Oman back at my desk working away and still gutted by the performance, but the company of good people was worth every penny of the considerable amount all spent.
Were Villa were used to it.

Cheers Percy, no doubt I'll see you at the first home match next season assuming there is a paper version on sale.

Straws are for clutching: in the past 21 years we have appeared at Wembley 8 times and won 4 times - 50% success!   How does that compare with our notional equals Newcastle, Everton etc.?

I think Newcastle are played 2 lost 2 and Everton are played 3, won 2 (one on pens) lost 1 but one of Everton's wins was the FA Cup Final so I'm still jealous.

If your reaction can make 2 miserable old fuckers like me and Mike well up as well I think you can give yourself a pass.

Anyway, this Aloe Vera gel....

So £700k gross then and about £400k after tax. Pretty slim pickings .

Oh, I dunno, it's given us a transfer budget for the close season...
