What happened to the good old days of blokes dressed as Santa parachuting themselves into the stadium via a corrugated roof.

Is that supposed to be funny? I think it is in very bad taste. Were you there when he crashed into the Trinity Road Stand?

He lived to tell the tale , it wasn't meant in bad taste.
I do recall late 70's possibly early 80's a few matchballs being parachuted in onto the centre circle and as a kid thought that was superb pre match entertainment.
I'm guessing H&S has put an end to all that.

It's in poor taste though.  I was in the Trinity that day and remember the chilling sound of him hitting the stand.  As a 15 year old at the time is was a horrid thing to watch.

Probably not in good taste, apologies to anyone offended.
The story actually had a happy ending - he married one of the nurses who looked after him.

No, they have newpapers and television in South Africa. Saturday was a day for living somewhere like Antarctica.

Well, my feeling is that the 'gestures' don't help much, they are just bad luck. Look at the Flags for the Semi v Bradford. The Bright future stuff too.

I appreciate the sentiment but the result is never enough!
