Isn't there something in the Wembley T's and C's about max size of flag being 2.5m sq? I do hope someone has asked Wembley if it's ok to bring this monstrosity??

This answers the questions regarding longevity:

LIFE AFTER WEMBLEY - ADDED VALUE

Of course this will make an incredible iconic surfer for the final, but what can we do with it after?

Depending on the amount of your investment, you will have a proportionate amount of shares/votes.

We'll discuss the options later, but they could include:

1) Future outings - there's a potential August Wembley date in the Community Shield (when the message on the flag would be quite poignant!) or when Arsenal next come to Villa Park.

2) Recycle the material into souvenirs to be sold - like pendants, bags, framed sections etc - so that all contributors can see a return on their contributions. The total amount from sales can then be shared between investors.

3) I've spoken to the club about the dimensions for a possible surfer for the lower North Stand. The allowance is 8m x 20m long, so we could alter/cut up the flag to just have the punk rock 'ASTON VILLA' bit, which would be the perfect size to surf on the North.

The rest of the flag could be recycled as in 2) so that flag contributors can have a return on their investment.

4) Sell it to some rich Villan who wants the ultimate souvenir! Then all contributors can have a dividend back in relation to their contribution.

5) Auction it off for charity? Those who want a return can have it, those who want to donate it can.

Of course, we could probably go for a combination: surf it again, cut it down for the North Stand and use the rest for recycled goods.

Or, as mentioned, you could donate any return from your investment to a charity like Acorns or the Petrov foundation.

I hate the design as much as the next man.  But in fairness I think he means the original album artwork is iconic.  Which of course is.
