The reason we have been near the bottom all season is because that defence is shite. Lambert tried to protect it by being negative, Sherwood has tried to protect it by offensive.  Whichever way you look at it they are shite.

Only saw last three mins of half, nice header from Benteke and assist from Bacuna. What else have I missed?

This is payback for the other year when they had about 70 shots on target, we had 3 shots all game and won 3-2.

...is the correct answer. Mind you, they've played better than this. Way better, so they're not that bad, but I think it's more the combination of players out there right now. Hutton on the left, Bacuna and Okore on the same side and no Sanchez to provide a bit of muscle in front of them.

But you're right, the defence isn't very good.

We need a massive second half here. We're not going to get a result, but we need to drag it back.

The really frightening thing is that, to me, this is our best back 4.

Has anyone put the fault at the back four yet and not Given.....Geeeeez!

We don't appear to have a back four, they are  look like they have just met each other in the tunnel! Mistake after mistake! Unacceptable! Arsenal must be licking their lips!

What are we doing playing such a high line with lumbering defenders trying to cope with nippy forwards? In many ways Southampton have had a day to dream about, with just about every rebound dropping nicely for them, but we have asked for trouble.

There's nothing quite like seeing your team tatered and have it all described by whiny  scouse accents.

Win the second half you fuckers.

At least the manager will kick backside instead of saying we were excellent.

Vlaar has had one of those games he has every now and again. It's why he's never played for one of the top clubs. Sherwood needs to resist the temptation to throw the baby out with the bath water though, as we've played well until this game.

If we score early in the 2nd half we only need 3 and we can score 3 goals tbh, not over yet.
