Don't forget the disallowed goal that was onside.

This should boost the spirits of all the teams below us. Hope Burnley aren't watching this.

Well, things really were going too well recently. This is how Tim plays - open, up for it, win-or-lose stuff, and it got him a few hammerings against as well as for at Spurs. Really we were overdue this. The only real problem is that if they'd sacked Lambert earlier this bollocks wouldn't matter as much! If we'd just drawn that match at Hull we'd be safe by now.

He does play and encourage an open style but even that doesn't account for the abysmal defending on display today. It's been way worse than horrendous and goes back to the battering we took at Arsenal earlier in the season

This is one of the worst back fours I've ever seen at Villa and is the reason why we've struggled to drag ourselves away from the foot of the table despite playing good football under Sherwood.

By the way, Bacuna and Okore have been just abysmal.

As much as this is an unexpected big pile of shit, if Hull can't beat Spurs it doesn't really matter.

Perhaps they've tried something different in training and it's backfired.

How about fucking learn and stop pissing about at the back. Bacuna is back to his worst in terms of defending.

So far, this has been a horrific performance from the back 4. Not much the rest have done wrong but watch with shock like the rest of us.

No of course, you're right, but it's true that if you're as open as we are then you leave yourself exposed to attacking and give your defenders more stuff to do - i.e., you give them more opportunities to mess up, and if your name is R. Vlaar that's plenty.

I'm not complaining, I've been wishing for a manager to play this sort of football for years, even if it means a few twattings from time to time. The balls is that, had they sacked Lambert earlier, we wouldn't be in this mess where the twattings actually matter.
