I hope this is like that game vs Sheff Utd a few seasons back. Champagne football at Villa Park. Beautiful day, European cup winners all over the gaff, star on the pitch, lovely passing, flowing football, and even a wonder goal by Patrik Berger!!

It all looked so promising then, that was a wonderful day out

I hope Callum Robinson gets a run out because they've pulled him back from the play off final to have a look at him. It seems only fair that we do actually have a look at him!

That seems a bit unfair (although all I know about it is what you said above) - pulling him back from Preston prior to the final, I mean.

Surely would have been nice for him to get the experience of playing there, not to mention Preston getting him till the end of the season proper, rather than for him to spend 90 minutes on the bench (which will probably be the case).

Seems a bit harsh on Preston to remove him at this critical stage.

conspirancy theory up here is that Sherwood is mates with the Swindon boss...
In all fairness though he only got a few minutes in the semi-final so provided he does play v Burnley I think its the right move

Did I imagine it or did Robinson play an U-21 game the other day for us???

To be fair I could be imagining it.

EDIT-
He did.

Whether he's elligable to play for us again this season is another matter.

There was a story in the Birmingham Mail the other day, not sure anyone has mentioned it yet, but apparently Andre Green one of our academy lads is in contention for the Burnley squad. Described as a 17 year old, jet heeled Striker. Could be given a chance like young Rushian.

Yep I mentioned his name a few pages back to see if anyone had heard of him or seen him play.

Hopefully a great game with lots of goals and no injuries or cards, all in front of a sun-drenched packed Villa Park.

On a slightly-Burnley related note, I saw Chris Nicholl on the Matt Le Tissier documentary the other night and he didn't look well. Has he been ill or is it just ageing?

Perhaps we'll all see him play on saturday. I wouldn't be adverse to giving him some game time (nor Kinsella, Calder etc). I'd be resting Benteke and also Gabby who's not 100% yet. As much as Gabby blows hot and cold, he's had some great games against Arsenal over the years so I would hope we get him as fresh as possible for the final.

Gabby shows up for the big games. He'll play some roll if we go on to win the cup.

A drum roll or a cheese roll?
