Just heard on the radio that our goal keeping coach Tony Parkes' son died today. That's all that was said. Awful news.

Awesome, important win.
We've got our Villa back, and after missing last week's game due to a suspected stroke, I couldn't have been happier to be back at Villa Park.
I love Aston Vlla.

Just seen this, keep well Oscar, do what they tell you.

No parent should ever out live their child,  all sympathies wished to the Parkes family.

Oh dear, that's terrible news.  What age was he? was it sudden or has he been suffering an illness?  Sincere condolences to him, his wife and family.

Agreed - puts football into perspective - at half time the club remembered former employees who had passed away - a nice touch (also acknowledged by the West Ham fans - respect for that). They mentioned lovely old Jack - the tour guide - what a fantastic fella he was - a real Villa man through and through.
I didn`t know Gordon Smith had died - when did Smudger pass away?

Very nervy on the Holte today. Seemed fairly quiet in L4 considering it was essentially full.
Although there were moments towards the end when they were lumping it up to Collins that most of us wished we were still hiding behind the flag.

That's a stonking pic, can I/we nick it for FB?

Fill your boots sir. Thanks for asking.

That's a great photo.

Cheers Dave. Feel free to use it/appropriate it/steal it.

Quite amusing from KUMB -

Travelled to Birmingham last night went for a beer at about 12 ish this afternoon and have stayed in the pub, thats how much i give a **** about West Ham at the moment.

couldn't care less about the result, just lost interest in the way we play football. Sam is not the man for us anymore and half the players don't give a toss.

No idea how we played today, just guessing based upon the last 10 games.

I am so sorry to hear that. I hope the family find some strength to get through this horrible event. I guess no words can make their loss any less painful.
