Spurs have to be careful not to pick up any more points, otherwise they may end up in the Europa League!

3 points is all I care ebout. We are really putting in the shifts towards the end, we may have to do the same next week or hope spurs come off the beach.

We play early so our result may give others that extra push.......depending on what it is.

Difficult for Hull now. Think they'll go, we'll be alright, can't see 4 teams outperforming us now.

One win out of the last two games and we've done it.
Reckon it's done already. There's no way that all four teams below us will get 38 points or more.

Did anybody really doubt?

Fuck - that last 5 mins was tense. Good move bringing on Hutton and then Sanchez at the end to shore us up defensively, when spammers were having a go.

Plenty of chances for us, most went begging, but at least we got one against a west ham side that was poor first half, but stepped up second half.

Job done Villa, well done.

Ground looked pretty full and decent atmosphere on TV

A huge, huge win.  Well done to everyone, players and fans, for putting in a shift today.

More nervous about this game than last week.

Historically, it's the kind of game we balls up after a good result.

Think we *should* be safe now. Although the way this season has gone, would anyone really be stunned to see Hull turn Tottingham over.

I don't recall any other team being 14th with two games to go, and going down though.

Possibly only a point from the next two should do it.

Hopefully get a win next week to make absolutely certain of safety so we can take it a little easier in the last match before the cup final.

Cleverley looks so much better when he's playing positively. Contrast him now with the shell of a player we saw under Lambert. There's just no comparison.

After all the high scoring games a 1-0 here was very good against a stubborn West Ham.

When was the last time we won a game at Villa Park without it feeling like an upset / massive achievement? Despite the nerves at the end that felt relatively comfortable.

Thank you Tim; the pride is back.
