Thank fuck for that. My sphincter couldn't have taken any more time on the clock. As it is it will take a disaster of Biblical proportions now for us to go down.

One win out of the last two games and we've done it.

Huge win, very difficult win. It was the opposite of last week, where we pinballed our way to victory in a mad match. Today, instead, there was almost no space and one nice run from Grealish was all we could get. So close to safety now, I can't quite believe it.

Thought we played well on the whole. Very good in the first half. They improved in the second but never really troubled us too much. Given had problems in the first half with set pieces, but they didn't really test him too much in the second. I thought they'd be pelting it under his crossbar as much as possible.
Our midfield were excellent. Cleverley was exceptional today. The confidence he's playing with is brilliant. Another goal and a couple of good chances on top of that as well.
Gabby was very rusty it must be said. Hopefully he'll be fitter and sharper by Soton.

Delighted with the win. Good first half and thought we were going to batter them. Sam changed it around at HT and they were a lot more positive and direct.
We struggled to really get going but hung on which is the sign of a good side.
Benteke quiet, Cleverley MOTM.

To be fair, all the other teams around us have improved recently too, so much needed.
Hull have Spurs (A) and Man U (H) left.
Southampton are hopefully already on the beach so lets get a win next week to seal it!

I think a draw next week will be sufficient given the problems that Hull find themselves in. Mind you I figure Fart Hotspur may not have any real desire so who knows.

Excellent win, cant argue with TS's impact at Villa Park and nice to see us win two home league games on the bounce. When was the last time that happened? Must be 2-3 years
