We were wonderful today and played some excellent stuff. Clattenberg was awful and produced one of the worst refereeing displays at VP in years.

Very impressed today and I kept saying to my mates why it was that Lambert became so up himself and limited with a squad that has talent. No one exemplified it more today than Westwood and Cleverley: they were great..
The team played magnificently today and it belies both our league position and Everton's recent form.
As a qualified ref, I rate Clattenberg as very poor today. He should have booked Naismith for persistent infringing in the first half; Mirallas for a blatant simulation soon after the dubious penalty-award; and Coleman for taking Grealish down in quick succession.
The final score flattered Everton, but the important thing is that we got three points.
And the fans today were superb; loved being there.

Great result and performance although I could do with the 'added excitement' of a late goal to spice things up.
Totally agree with all the plaudits for Delph, Benteke, Grealish and Cleverley, but I thought Westwood had yet another terrific game before being subbed, he is another one who looks a different player with a new lease of life under Timmy.

On a separate tack, there were some nasty scenes in Witton Lane around 2.40. A load of Everton 'kids' came down, singing and being a bit leary.
Villa fans going into the Holte then responded, and it turned nasty for a couple of minutes with some nasty scrapping and charging at each other, and no sign of the old bill.
It calmed down after a couple of mins, but it was quite nasty.
It seemed that there were a number of coaches parked to by Aston church, and if these Everton fans were allowed to walk from there to the ground, unaccompanied, being as leary as that, then it's no surprise it kicked off.
The weirdest thing is that these Everyon lads really did look like lads, 16 or 17 and looked like a scruffy bunch of loudmouth chavs rather than a 'firm', and a few of them took a real beating.
Being so close to the ground, it really wasn't very pleasant at all.

Wow. Simply Wow.

What an entertaining game. I would buy that whole 90 mins on dvd.

Delph - Best midfielder in the country by a mile. Jack Wilshire? Do me a favour.

Benteke - unstoppable, unplayable, unsellable.

Cleverly - Dynamo in that midfield.

Clatterphuk- should be carrying his balls home in a sling....if he had any

If Bacuna played for the capital clubs the wankfest for that pass for the 3rd goal would have been immeasurable.

Back four - Come on lads tighten it up a bit Qpr, man shitty and nearly today.

Fans - Place was rocking.

The racists were a team extremely in form and we took them apart in the first half. Brilliant.

I just watched a team in claret and blue play the most attacking, vibrant beautiful football. Pass after pass, ole! Goals! Teamwork! Fantastic performances!

I'm so happy I could cry. I love you Villa.

We certainly did, especially in the first half.  If you look at their starting XI today it was a pretty strong side, so it wasn't a bunch of mugs we've beaten.  Special mention for Delph today and Bacuna's ball for the third goal was probably our pass of the season so far.

I saw that too just as I was going in to the Holte -just before kick off.

There was a group of maybe 15 lairy young Everton fans like you say, probably 17-18 years old. An older Villa fan in a short sleeve retro away shirt was standing up to a few of them - he told me one of them came up behind him and punched him. There was a young Villa fan, who only looked about 14-15 who waded in throwing punches like a whirlwind.

As andyh says above, no cops to be seen but what I saw didn't last long.

The bloke sitting next to me in the North Stand was talking about it when he came in just before kick off.  He said it was so e if the worst fighting he had seen at a game for some time.

He hasn't seen much then. Half a dozen punches and a traffic cone thrown in front of an audience on the steps.

Great  performance from the Villa boys against twelve men, Clangerberg may as well have had a Everton shirt on.

Brilliant game

I used to think Clattenburg liked us, I now know he likes Everton more, having said that, from upper Holte I couldn't see anything of their penalty decision or 2nd goal

Cleverly's run & goal reminded me of Platt 25 years ago

Took my son to his first game today, Had a cracking day in the family zone then walked round the pitch, had his name on the scoreboard and a great game. Delph took the piss today, had a couple of their defenders been smoking pot? they either kept falling over or mis-hitting clearances.

I was in the lower north, i thought it was a penalty
Vlaar took his legs as he was fumbling around on the floor,

it all stems From the fact we seemingly find it impossible to clear the ball cleanly and effectively when inside the box, otherwise known as putting your foot through it

You must be battle hardened.
I saw one kid take a flying kick to the head and was in a bad way.
It was the worst I've seen for a long, long time.
