3-0 wouldn't have flattered us at half time today, we've been very good indeed. Cleverley, Delph and Benteke all look like different players, and Grealish really does look like the real deal, terrific first touch, great close control and good passing.

Promising stuff.

No better centre forward in Europe at the moment. I would love it if we signed him up in the summer on a super dooper contract and added some of Tim's signings around him.

I just fear he's going to say goodbye and fair do's to him, I'll be gutted but he deserves the big stage.

Benteke must wonder what happened to the years he spent being managed by Lambert. Just hope he rates Sherwood enough to think he will stick around a bit longer to win medals with us.

I yawned when we scored the second. Outplaying everyone we face and scoring goals is  getting a tad monotonous.

It's been hard going. Everton haven't done much but are very well organised and are taking full advantage of the ref. We are doing well to be 2 up and we deserve it.

Clattenberg has his own little rule book that he is playing to. No doubt the yellow card will be out in a flash when an Everton player throws himself on the floor.

My clematis are looking good and so are Villa. Just doing a bit of pinching out and tying in...

Sherwood is turning into a master stroke by appointment. Just the way we are playing with the players who were being mentaly destroyed by Lambert.

Different gravy.

My God we're going to miss Benteke when he goes. What a player.

In other news, Stevenage have a 56 year old Dave beasant on their subs bench. Bizarre! Makes Given look like a rookie.

Heard it all now. Newcastle manager claiming Mike Williamson got himself sent off on purpose to avoid playing in their next two games. Talk about a club in crisis.

By my reckoning, that's 10 in 12 games for us plus whatever he's done for Belgium since Lambert finally got chopped.

Including the one he scored 23 goals?
