Awake since 5 with similar stomach complaints to many of you on here. I'm a bit overwhelmed by what today could mean. On the train now into London and very excited and nervous. I just hope the team get hold of the game and put in a performance. Then anything is possible. If we win this is (unfortunately) one of those "once in a lifetime" occasions. Up the villa - have a great day everyone in whatever home, pub or seat you are in...

Just woke up to the sun shining into the hotel bedroom.
After my own personal version of Planes, Trains and Automobiles to get here and a couple of nerve calming beers with the gent that is Olaftab last night sleeping wasn't a problem.

The knot of nerves in my stomach reminds of something my daughter said before trying a truly mental rollercoaster last summer.

I've not got butterflies in the stomach, it's more like bats!

I don't know whether I'm coming or going. Awake at six, tossing and turning until the alarm went off two hours later...first thing I hear is Aaron Ramsey saying he hopes when they win it won't be as dramatic as last year.

Fuck the fuckers. It's our day.

It'll be brilliant to see the Arse go up to collect their losers medals and HRH laughing in their faces as he hands them out. Then saying to Wenger "We fucked you fuckers."

Haven't slept properly for last 2 nights, and when I did drift off last night I dreamt I scored a goal in the final - problem was it was in a field in the Lake District, and the ball had morphed into a toy car. And I don't even eat cheese! Getting the buzz now - sandwiches at the ready, car filled up, ticket checked in wallet 4 times, sweaty arm pits in spite of copious amounts of anti-perspirant. On my way to that there Landan imminently. See you there boys. It's our year

To all of you lucky enough to have tickets, I wish you the greatest of days.  Enjoy yourselves, savour the occasion and BRING HOME THE CUP!

For the rest of us, I hope for the greatest of days too, wherever in the world we are.

Stay safe all.

How fkn ace is this?!!!! Winning the battle with the nerves, and a little smug grin as I'm on the bus into town. Truly what I've dreamt of since I was seven. It has to happen, it just does. Let's fuck these fuckers.

Goose bumps.

Wonderful, had me in tears for all the people I know who went to that and are no longer with us. My dad will love this, thank you.

Quite a good tactical piece here. Basically arguing that if villa can sit tight and frustrate arsenal there are plenty of chances to exploit their lack of discipline. I do wonder if sherwood will pair Sanchez and Westwood to begin with
