Another in 530 here so no scarf on the day but who gives a monkeys, I'm going to see the Villa in the FA Cup Final today!

Huge thanks to whoever on here suggested people contact their local club, I did just that and to my delight and surprise they came up trumps with a pair of tickets in the Villa end.

My grandad and his three brothers were there in '57 and I heard all the stories for years. I'm coming today with my stepdad who's a lifelong Villa fan and will be seeing his first FA Cup Final at the age of 78.  Cannot bloody wait, see lots of you there I'm off to try and get some kip!

Housemate comes in from the gym with a latte, one sugar. I'm still in bed. Day is off to a good start.

I'm still not nervous. It's like Christmas but heaps better.

Good nights sleep and up early for a walk, done the gardens, trying to stay calm.

It's not working.

Well I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who can't sleep - I am fast approaching my 58th birthday and I'm shaking with excitement. I'm here in my holiday home in Tywyn - the one by by Aberdovey - if there's anyone still awake as well - let me know and we can meet up !!

Like so many of you - I was there at the LC Wembley/OT wins twice in the 70s - Highbury in 81 and Rotterdam in 82 but I've waited all my life for this.

I feel so much pride reading the inspirational posts on here tonight. I will be watching from Connecticut, but my heart will be in Wembley and I'm certain that Wembley and the Arsenal fans will be in awe of the magnificent Villa fans in full voice cheering our boys onto victory.

Set the Alarm for 7am, waste of time that was, didn't sleep well and bit the bullet at 5.30am and got up.Hopefully I will be drinking Red Bull with Champagne tonight.

I've been awake in the hotel since 4.30. Bit of a upset stomach too. Definitely pre-match excitement.
