I have never seen so many posts on a pre match thread - is tomorrow's game key or something?

No. We're in Block 530 so miss out. If anyone can grab one left behind or not claimed at the end of the game for Freddy I'll be eternally grateful.

I'm sure I read somewhere that the club is giving scarves to all Villa fans with Wembley tickets, some on the day for display and the rest after the final at the club shop.

Cheers. Try explaining that to a very excited 7 year old!

The scarves will be on all the seats in the Villa end apart from the extra 800 seats we sold last Friday and those people will be contacted and will have to collect them from Villa Park next week

I suspect there will be a lot of pilfering so if you turn up at 5:40pm don't expect your scarf to be there

This might just be me, but if the worst happens and we lose, the last thing I would want to claim would be a commemorative scarf a week after the event.

Will all those of you lucky enough to have FA Cup final tickets stop banging on about whether or not you've got bloody free scarves and just enjoy the fact you've got tickets to see (The) Aston Villa in the FA Cup final! Please?

It has been explained to me that game is quite important. There wasn't much more detail than that.

Just received this email  as I have seats in Block 531

Re: Scarf mosaic at Wembley

After the success of our crowd mosaic at the FA Cup semi-final following the suggestions of several fan groups, we can confirm that we will be going one step further with our scarf mosaic for the FA Cup final at Wembley this Saturday 30th May.

This is to create a visual effect to inspire the team as they make their entrance into the stadium, so we need everyone to play their part on the day and to respect their follow Villa fans.

Supporters sitting in blocks between 126-141 in the lower tier and 531-550 in the upper tier will have a scarf attached to their seat. Not only will the scarf serve as a fantastic momento and souvenir of the occasion for yourself, but we would also like you to help form a sea of claret and blue across Wembley.

When you arrive in the stadium you will notice a scarf attached to your seat. The scarf will be either claret or blue, with a different design on each side.

Please do not remove any scarves from other supporters seats – not only will this affect the mosaic display, it could also ruin what we hope will be a fantastic initiative for all the supporters in these areas.

All you need to do is hold the scarf above your head with either side facing the pitch as the players come out of the tunnel.

We hope you enjoy a great day out at Wembley and thank you for the ongoing support.

Indeed. If I was lucky enough to have a ticket my attitude to the scarf would be....

Preparations for tomorrow under way. Just dropped my dog off at the kennels, and said would pick him up sometime on Sunday depending on the severity of mood/hangover. The kennel girl said perhaps it will be a draw. I didn't have the heart to set her straight - especially as they've got my dog!

When FA Cup Finals went to replays, how the hell did they distribute 100,000 tickets between Saturday evening and Thursday kick off time?

I went to the FA Cup Final replay in 1982, having returned from Rotterdam we bought two tickets for the match that night from QPR. When we walked into the pub next to Loftus Road at midday the place went silent and a couple of blokes walked up to the bar and told us to put our money away, the drinks were on them. Liked QPR since that day.

"My eyes have seen the glory of the Villa win the cup
seven times we've won it, number eight is coming up".
And that's simply the truth people.
