Long time lurker, hoping for a bit of advice.

Been lucky enough to secure final tickets through a mate's ex-bosses uncle who works for the FA. Mates called today to say tickets have arrived, look great seats at the back of block 110. Only problem, this is the East stand!

From previous finals/semis, has anyone had experience of swapping with a tout outside to get tickets in Villa end?

Any advice gratefully received.
Why don't you try an Arse forum? There may be two Tarquins with tickets in the the Aston Villa end saying the same thing.

Think trying one of the Arsenal forums might be best. My mates contact has said he's not too happy at the idea of us swapping with a tout.

Had a look at a couple of their forums, none of which look anywhere near as active as H&V. Is there one that's perceived to be the best?

This will cheer up everyone without tickets:

An Arsenal fan has bagged a pair of FA Cup final tickets which were sent into the stratosphere ahead of Saturday's match.
The VIP passes were attached to a weather balloon released from Wembley Stadium at about 06:00 BST.
They reached a height of 29,000ft (8,839m), before the balloon burst and they floated by parachute to Broad Oak, Sussex, the Football Association said.
The grandmother of Gunners fan George Lamb later found them in the village.
"When I woke up this morning the idea of going to the FA Cup final hadn't crossed my mind," the 19-year-old said.
'Out-of-this-world match'
"This will be my first time to Wembley and I've got butterflies at the prospect of it."

Also:  George Lamb has a 19 year old grandmother!

From that article

"Should you have not received or lost your tickets for the FA Cup final please contact Villa's Consumer Sales Department on 0800 612 0970 by Friday May 29 and we will be able to arrange duplicate tickets for you.

Any tickets, including duplicate tickets, which are to be collected on matchday will be available from the West Ticket Office at Wembley from 1pm."

I've mentioned it already many pages ago, but two of my tickets never turned up so I'm going to have to collect them on the day. If you're thinking of buying from a tout you'll have no way of knowing if those tickets will let you in, they may be on the cancelled list. I spoke to the ticket office yesterday and it's clear that I am not alone in not receiving my tickets. The chances of them being lost is remote, so I'm sure someone has my two tickets and is excited about the game, only to find that they won't get them into the ground, I can't imagine how gutting that would be. Only buy tickets from people that you know otherwise you might be paying £500 to sit in the pub.

Arsene Wenger has lavished praise on Christian Benteke and Tim Sherwood on the eve of the FA Cup final.

Villa face Wenger's Gunners on Saturday, with a 5.30pm kick-off.

Wenger believes Benteke is one to watch this weekend while he insists Sherwood has transformed claret and blue fortunes since arriving in February.

He said: "Benteke is a player who has a massive potential.

"I think some of the bad fortune of Villa this season was linked with the fact that Benteke was not there.

"When he came back into the team, he gave a lift to everybody and of course he has a fantastic leap.

"He's an intelligent player as well and he can score goals with his feet.

"He's fantastic in the air and can score headers against any team in the league."

Sherwood has really helped the renaissance of Benteke.

And Wenger praised the Villa boss ahead of Saturday's final.

He added: "Tim has done extremely well.

"He has lifted their confidence and got them to go forward a lot.

"They are positive so overall I believe he has done a very good job.

"If you analyse their individual quality, they are a strong team.

"They had a great semi-final and of course they have quality.

"They are a Premier League team who have a lot of strengths in our side. They are a strong opponent."

Blimey. I know a paper doesn't really give a true reflection of local opinions but really!!! Makes you laugh really.

That's pathetic, if people in Coventry really hate Villa that much they really need to get a life.

Coventry Evening Telegraph has a daily circulation of 30,000. I suppose that seems like a large number to Cov fans

I dunno, if you can't rely on your mate's ex boss' uncle, who can you trust?

10 places you'll find sad, middle aged fucks on a Saturday afternoon watching the Villa. There will probably be more people in Cov watching us on Saturday than have watched Coventry at any time this season.

West Brom, Coventry and Birmingham should all merge in to one pathetic, eternally laughable, failure of a club and self combust with rage when we lift the FA Cup on Saturday.
