Passed my fitness test for the final (never thought I would one day be able to lay claim to passing a fitness test for an FA Cup final) with the physio last week and got a couple of category A tickets for my son and I yesterday. The icing on the cake is the fact that the final is on my son's 14th birthday. The cherry on top of the icing on the cake is the fact that due to this my parents have paid for the tickets for his birthday present. Going on the official coaches from Villa Park.

nice one Damo70 and I hope your son has as good a birthday as I did on the 19th April....apart from all the boozing as he is only 14 :)

The whipped cream on the cherry on the icing of the cake is that we're going to win!!!

Hi All,

anybody any idea how long I will have to wait for if I get there for 2pm today - I only have limited time and not sure if I would be better off staying at work and hitting redial on the phone.
Anyone else get there at the start of their qualifying window that could tell me roughly what to expect que wise?

Glad to hear it Damo. Still waiting nervously for Tuesday, but pleased you have got your tickets sorted.

If none of you have got me a ticket yet it would be fantastic if you could get me a half and half scarf as a memento of your day out. i'm sure you'll all have a smashing time in London. if any of you can try and also get to see Leicester Square and Covent Garden as the are wonderful. Buckingham Palace is also quite close.

I'm so jealous. Wembley looks awesome on the television it'll be an amazing experience to be there for a final. So just sing your hearts out and be gracious when Arsenal lift the Cup because we want to conduct ourselves with dignity and pride. Win lose or draw I just want you all, US, to just enjoy the atmosphere on what will be a truly awesome occasion. Go the Villa.

funny how official coaches leave at 12 for the final
yet left at 8 for the semi
12 minus 8 = 4
kick off is 2 and a half hours later
and the roads will be busier than a sunday
