Did villa beam the Chelsea final back to B6 ? Don't recall it

There was no Chelsea final. I have airbrushed it from my memory.
Wish I could, it was a painful 6,000 mile round trip for me to watch a non event.

Was your sat nav fucked?

Ahh, the 2000 Final. We lost, it was an awful game, I trod in a massive pile of horse shit and got a small piece of grit stuck in my eye. Other than that, it was great.

I broke a tooth on a steak sandwich in the morning, went to Wembley with blood pouring out of my mouth, and have so far spent several hundred quid on said tooth which escalated into full root canal work. Twice.

That day still bloody pains me.

How did you manage to break a tooth on a steak sandwich?

Yup. In 37 years following Villa that day was without doubt the worst. If we beat Arsenal it will be the greatest day since creation. Or since 1982 at least.

I think for many winning on the 30th May 2015 will better/surpass winning on the 26th May 1982.

It would for me, it would complete the set. If it happens I'm going to cry my eyes out.

As good as winning the European Cup was I was only a teenager at the time & only seen it through the tv .
To actually be there when Fab lifts the cup will be the greatest day ever from my perspective.

Edit.
Is there anyone on here that has seen us win the lot ?

Got my ticket today. Cost me more than my World Cup final ticket but one happens every 4 years the other twice in 58 years. I know which is more important to me and there won't be a Tarquin in my seat! UTV!!

I was at Highbury 81, Rotterdam 82, Villa Park beating Barcelona European Super Cup and seen us win the League Cup including the 1977 3 game marathon v Everton. The F.A Cup is the one I have not been there for in the flesh so on my bucket list. Born in 1961 so not won it in my lifetime but this is the year and will be there to see it.
