(** I think that Arsenal take a different approach and give priority to fans who go to away games)

My Arsenal supporting contacts here tell me there is a ballot for season ticket holders - they have 40k of them for 25k seats. Of the 7 season ticket holders I know not managed to get a ticket for the semi final.

I now qualify for OAP rates, for a £120 adult ticket I got £10 off. Big deal.

However my season ticket last year cost me £550, this year, with the OAP rate and using my Villa cash balance, it has cost me £227, which is brilliant.

BTW, when booking online you can select a block, but NOT a specific seat

I did know this but thanks again anyway - do you know if you get any more choice (e.g. rows) on the phone?

No.
I phoned ahead yesterday and asked exactly this - they can only tell us block, not row or seat number.
Forget what I was told yesterday!
Just been told Block, row and seat numbers!!!

Happy!

could you ask for a specific row or group of rows? e.g. nearer the back / front?

I was offered block 133 but asked for 139 where we'd been for the SF and was perfect for my mate's disabled daughter. The guy soon sorted seats for us 1 row in front of our SF tickets. We were hoping to get similar for the Final - my mate and his daughter will be well-chuffed!

I have been a supporter since 1972 but as I am now based in Yorkshire I don't get to VP very often and in fact this Saturday against Everton will be my first visit this season. Should I be allowed a Wembley ticket?

Of course not! Longevity does not necessarily equate to loyalty.

I applied online for a ticket in block 126, but in the club's email confirmation, they have not advised me of the row or seat number. Is this the same for everybody else?

Same for me. I have block 133 but no idea where in the block.
I was offered £90 and £70 seats and plumped for the £70 ones in the hope that they are further back, and higher rather than low down towards the front.

Good luck to all you guys who have your tickets
But I am also frigging green with envy gotta play Russian roulette and wait till the final day of the criteria to hopefully sit with my kids which is there day, just hope that if you are in the criteria you should stand a chance of getting one.
I'm going to be a nervous wreck come the last few days of the criteria

I miss the witty repartee.

And the idea of us all meeting to swap sitting/standing tickets will have become so much more manageable as there would only be 25,000 of us!
It could actually work!

Sorry - it is the other way round, the cheaper ones are nearer the front for the very reason you want them to be at the back - the overall view of play is better from the back end of the tier.
