My missus just reminded me we're in Cornwall that week......should have seen her face when I told her we need to re-arrange it.

You probably unintentionally make a good point: when the FA/UEFA/FIFA/TV are carving up the calendar I doubt they have any consideration to the fact that the week that begins with a Bank Holiday and is half term across the length and breadth of the country is one when many true football supporters will be away - and when making the booking will have given minimal thought as to the prospect of their club competing in the Cup final.   Back in the day even the Home Internationals were over by the twenty-something of May.

Hey Leeg, if you're going to edit my thread title, please can we go back to what I originally called it before I changed it to be specifically about the KO time

ie....."FA Cup Final Pre-Pre-Match Thread"

EDIT - done it myself. I didn't know that us meet mortals could override a Mod edit

Trending on Twatter at the moment is an idea that Villa & Arsenal fans will sing Happy Birthday to Steven Gerrard in the 35th minute of the final.  I believe that's called banter.

No doubt the media would completely miss the sarcasm and say that Arsenal and Villa fans were singing in tribute to the decaying carcass of Steeeeeeeeeeeevieeeeeeeeeeee Geeeeeeeeeeee

How brilliant for us to be able to totally take the piss but still get credit for being so generous and classy.

It's your thread so you can call it what you want, but personally I think it would be a better idea to have information and questions, etc in the run-up to the Final itself all in one thread to save multiple postings.

It didn't show as stickied on my iPad. It was in the normal section.

Ok Leeg. That makes sense.

Feel free to put it back to how you had it

So will this be showing on the BBC, or do BT Sport have exclusive rights?

I'm going to be in Peru, celebrating a tenth wedding anniversary.
Anybody's in particular?

Incidentally, just having a stickied thread on here called "FA Cup Final..." is thrilling in itself.

Not only do we have the sheer pleasure of an FA Cup final to look forward to, but we also have a month of seeing and hearing just how much it's killing our nearest and dearest neighbours. It's a fantastic added bonus, so many of them are absolutely gutted.

It's on both.

Why would BT have exclusive rights when the BBC get first pick of every single round?
