Was at that 77 game where as a crew we held our own.
Do not want to turn this into a memories thread, I posted on that about my experience at the youth cup final a few years earlier.
I have always been, from my own experience totally oposed to what was the view that the spirit of shankly, were a bunch of lovely scalywags imboded by the Beatles, Jimmy Tarbuck and Cilla Black who never walked alone.
Anyone who went to Klanfield in the 70,s knows the reality.
Sorry about the rant, ignore as one who has had a couple of Friday night beers.

A few pages back Pat, one of the lads has put something up.  It has a Russian? Commentator and starts about 14 minutes in; but the rest of it's there.

On the way out after the match, the Villa fans were waiting on the exit steps on the inside of the stand (Annie rd end) and a copper on a horse read us the riot act, he said if there was any singing, chanting, messing about on the way back to the coaches 'we were on our own'

I was in the group but needed to get back to Lime Street, that journey with about 20/30 other villa fans was like the Warriors film

During the post-match celebrations on the pitch, some of the players and Sherwood go to the corner of the pitch and seem to be waving specifically at someone or something.  Any ideas?

Got back in at half ten Sunday, had to be up at 4 to head off for a week's work in Skegness. Home now, and I'm about to watch the recorded highlights. I've not even seen the goals back. They any good?

I was sitting just above the FA Cup banner over the entry/exit to the stadium in that corner.

I thought they were waving to me!

On a side note, are we the only team to have been drawn at home in every round?
Both semi and final we have won the toss and been the 'Home' team
