The brief shot of Jack Grealish in that clip is great. Is he fighting the tears back or just plain feelng the pressure?
The way he played he seemed pressure free, if anything he thrived on it,

It's a bit different when you have to sit there and watch it. Take a look at the clip.

anyone else got that post on FB from 'aston villa fanclub' where a few fans met Mark Albrighton on the way home after the semi, photo of him with them on the train

he says he's villa through and through, Lambert was a dick and no one liked him, MON was the best manager he worked with, joined in with all the chanting and was an all round good egg

I didn't get home 'til last night...staying at mate's I went to the game with.
Watched everything I could get hold of and re-lived it for a few hours, then started reading this thread. Working today, so just finished the love-in with every post and poster on here.
Nothing really to say that hasn't been expressed by you all, especially in brian green's comments for much of what I feel - he's the guy who has the eloquence to express the stuff in my head and in my heart.

I had a wonderful, wonderful day and I am so proud of Aston Villa: players, manager, staff and our fans - unfu**ingbelieveable! My face aches from smiling; throat still sore; keep getting a bit of grit in my eyes.

I'm on coach 1 on Saturday and looking forward to it!

(F**k the albion, blues and any other twats with their snidy comments - they're as jealous as f**k and we, and they, all know it!)

I just love Aston Villa.

I got 2 tickets on the half way line for a couple of mates ( who come to games with us but are more well wishers than Villa fans) and they said the Villa fans absolutely won the  supporters war. Funny as from the first row of the upper tier it didn't feel that our support was crazily loud, but that was probably because of my own nervousness and shouting.

Were they a very pleasant middle-aged couple per chance? I was in the very last row before the stewards and sat next to 2 such people who didn't flicker at either team scoring or join in with any singing or show sway towards either team. They also left in about the 82nd minute, which was very odd, given the excitement. I definitely don;t think they were Liverpool, but they also didn;t seem to be Villa fans!

RussellC, they were in the very first row ( first 2 seats on the Liverpool side by their bench) and got 3 stewards assigned to them when they leaped up when we equalised. They were told they would be thrown out if they jumped up again and kept calm for our winner.

The mate who got me the tickets said they were in a neutral zone but was patently wrong as it said FA - Liverpool on the tickets. I willingly gave up the half line "neutral" view ( in reality I could only do this if I had no alternative) for the top tier seat by the corner flag with full on Villa support.

And what an effing good decision that was!

Agree, he looked nervous once sat on the bench. He's villa as are his family so it makes sense.

Haven't got that but saw him in a pub near Euston with, I take it, his Dad and a few others at 10 ish in the morning. He was keeping his head down a bit so good to hear he got into the swing of things later.

Good on him.

Just listened to parts of the 5 Live commentary.

The roar on 89 minutes - Jenas was saying how much of a lift that gives a team when you are tiring. Great to hear it all again - you could hardly hear anything but Villa's support. Wonderful.

Same here. Just finished listening. Great commentary. Jenas spoilt it by saying, in the end, he wouldn't be surprised if there is a bid by Liverpool for Benteke.

Very good. Berneboy loves the penultimate sketch. Maybe a Villan created it!

Had to watch the highlights again tonight.  The shots of Benteke celebrating after his goal with the Villa fans going mad in the background are spine tingling.
