I shall remember that roar that came out of the Villa fans from the 85th minute for the rest if my life.

We were all "Beasts" at that moment Brian!

They were showing a replay on the telly when it started, we were all panicking wondering what was happening on the pitch only to realise it was just a gutteral roar from our support :)

The other end of the Richter Scale was the Cameron outpouring in a tweet. Congratulations to AVFC on reaching the Cup Final. By God I bet he felt drained after that.

I know I'm biased (as we all are) but it wasn't just on the pitch that we outshone them yesterday. From the moment they dragged-out their moth-eaten banner to our claret & blue mosaic. Even when we went 1-0 down we were the ones creating the atmosphere. I was sat in Block 127, on the very last row before the Liverpool Supporters, so was well-placed to hear a balance of both fans too. I appreciate that a Wembley trip is probably more of an 'occasion' to us that to them, but even still, it just felt like we were the bigger club from the moment I set foot on Wembley way. A day I'll never forget, regardless of what happens in the final.

I guess that was just because to us after what we've been through it is just a bigger deal.  I mean it would be nice if we could have days like yesterday more often!  And the small fact of us neve having won the cup since 1957 might have something to do with it too..

The last two rounds have absolutely shattered any negative myths about our support. You just know old school supporters of the big clubs will be looking at us thinking, "Why can't we be like that?"

The replay of Benteke celebrating the equaliser, with the camera shot from behind the goal was wonderful. The camera pans across a writhing sea of joy.

Watched the game at home after a 6 hour drive down from Muscat to Duqm, on blood pressure tablets but they had no effect at all yesterday, for the second half I never sat down once and any of the neighbors would have thought WTF.

Really I think over the last three or four seasons that our support has been wonderful.  That is what is important to highlight when it comes to talking about our fans yesterday.  It seems easy to show up and make a lot of noise for a big day out at Wembley, but when you have suffered the crap we have the last few years and still get home crowds of well over 30'000, plus great away support (the atmosphere at the Palace game I went to earlier in the season was fantastic) then I think it proves that yesterday wasn't a one off and that those supporters really do deserve their day(s) in the sun!

And on what you were saying I couldn't make it to Wembley yesterday, but I was at the last round, and yeah the atmosphere was one of the best I had wittnised at VP.

Bloody computer, had not finished my post.
Yesterday sums up what it is to be a Villa fan, we never do anything expected the easy way, when we are not expected we can often come up with the goods. Would I change them for any other football team, NEVER

Also got a funny phone call from some Scouser called Steve last night looking for an alternative Birthday venue, kept on muttering about some Brummie bastards have jumped his booking, had to keep telling him to Calm Down, Calm Down

I agree about our support, it's just nice that when the national media have had to take an interest we've blown them away, by behaving like a real club that really wants to win the fucking trophy (oh, the novelty)

First of all FFD, I hope your Mum had a great day and the best of luck to her with her treatment.

I watched the game this morning and I just knew it was our day. From when the teams were lining up outside the changing rooms before they came out, the noise you could hear from the Villa fans was amazing. To the mosaic Villa at the start and throughout the game, the fans were tremendous and I will admit, it brought a tear to my eye. The only time I heard the Liverpool fans were when they scored and then they got drowned out by the Villa fans urging the team on. Makes me bloody proud to support this great club.

As for the game itself, every one of them played with the passion we would expect from a Villa player and they all played their part. I hate to single any players out but I have watched the game twice and I thought Delph was magnificent and is maturing into the great player we all thought we would get when we signed him.

Well done Aston Villa, you have given us our pride back. God I love days like this.

That is true.  It does depress me the way Football has gone that a lot of big clubs see getting 4th as more important than winning a cup.  You would think that yesterday would have a been a big deal for Liverpool with their chances of CL almost gone, but it didn't seem that way based on their performance.  Still their loss lol.
