Hard to pick a bad performance today, the substitutes did not work but you could see what he was trying to do.
Hard to pick MOTM but Delph probably just shaded it with helping make the first and scoring the winner.

I thought Cleverely was absolutely superb and just everywhere on the pitch.

Fantastic performance and result.

On any other day vlaar, cleverley, Grealish and benteke might have got motm

But Delph was an absolute mile above everyone else today and i am extremely willing to have as many of his babies as he wants

Loved GREALISH today too though. Played like he had all the time in the world
Grealish impressed the hell out of me today. There were times it looked like he was running into trouble or out of room, but he still managed to keep the ball, or give it off to a team mate.
His pass through to Delph was quality too. The old look one way and then play it another.

Fast becoming a very important player for us.

watching how we set up and played against Liverpool, Sherwood and coaches will have a very definite game plan for Arsenal. Reading showed Arsenal can be knocked off their stride and they won't want to play us as much as we know they are quality. If we lose it won't be lying down. We'll go there and #FIGHT LIKE LIONS!
It will be about having as many key players available as possible.

According to OPTA, Cleverley made more tackles than any other player today. I'm not surprised by that at all. I hope he's been impressed enough by Sherwood to stick around with us!

Look at you all. Gloating and going on.

Heartless bastards. Have none of you given a thought about poor Steven Gerrard?
Who was Steven Gerrard??....

The shrill whine of moaning Scousers on the radio is pleasantly tickling my ear pipes.

Yes just think we could be discussing another beating by QPR and be bottom of the League.
Those glory days. ;)

Got to give him credit for taking the cup games seriously.

We came back from a goal down to win today. Fan-bloody-tastic. That took some balls.

Also massive credit to Richardson. He took some stick in (I think) the QPR game where he was stationary while their player scored. He cleared on from Gerrard off the line today. Fair play to you mate, well bloody done.

What a wonderful day to be a Villa fan

I hope so. We've gone into the last two games as underdogs but ended up deservedly beating Spurs and Liverpool, despite the media seemingly willing us to get beaten.
We've got the talent to compete much higher up the league than we are. We're a few signings away from being back where we belong I think. I would hope TC sees that, and more so that Benteke can see we've got potential to have a good season next year.
