Unfortunately the youngest generation have been growing up only seeing us struggle. Playing at Wembley in a semi final is a real highlight for those. It's a reflection of the Houllier/TSM/TSM II (latter Lerner) era.
Kind of have to agree, see pitch invasions in QF.
It's all pent up over 3-4 years .

And what was the reason for a pitch invasion against Inter in the FIRST round of the UEFA cup?

We were at Wembley twice 5 years ago, had a semi-final a couple of years ago, it's hardly been decades of dross in the lower leagues.
We actually won our last semi final outing.

I also remember a few years in the mid to late 80s when we used to invade the pitch at the end of the last home game of the season, pretty much every time.

Of course, there were usually about 17,000 of us in the ground, so it was hardly a bobbing mass of humanity out there, but it was a bit nawty.

I don't care how small time we appear for getting overly excited about a Semi-Final. We have had precious little to enjoy the past few years.

I had assumed the next time we would be at Wembley was a Championship playoff. So this is a massive bonus. We can enjoy the game regardless of result.

I'll fucking hate it if we don't win. I'll leave enjoying just being there for the likes of Albion.

I can see,

Given, Steer,Vlaar, Okore, Baker, Bacuna, Richardson, Cleverley, Sinclair, Cole , Gabby, Gil, Westwood, Delph, Benkete, Gabby, Grealish, Hepburn-Murphy (total 18) One person missing because don't you usually take 19 to a game? I couldn't see Lowton/Guzan/Weimann/N'Zogbia

Missing Clark (knee) Hutton (Ankle/Foot Injury) Senderos (Calf/Shin Injury) Kozak (Broken leg), Cissokho (Calf/Shin Injury), Sánchez (Ban)

Maybe that's him behind Grealish not Steer (just after Sinclair gets out)
