Name a chairman that isn't / wasn't a dickhead occasionally ? Chop ellis in half he is claret and blue , I don't get all the pent up anger.
I suspect it's an age thing. I'm 33 and therefore was not following Villa in the aftermath of the European glory and subsequent demise in the mid 80's when Doug returned. For that reason I do not feel the animosity towards him that so many on here seem to.

I'll repeat what I said last time this topic came up. Doug Ellis's greatest achievement was to make some of us think he cares as much about the Villa as we do.

Leeds tried that and for one season almost were the champions of Europe, remind me where they are now.
