I am overwhelmed with an irrational boost of confidence.

Villa to win, wonderful weekend for all Villa fans.

Guzan had definitely been on a bit of a bad run. Not clangers just poor decisions. Still not sure I would drop him though.

I would.  He's been poor for a while now.

There's no reason why we can't at lest get a point down there today. We need to keep an eye not only on Kane but also Eriksen.

I'm going for 2-2.

3-1 I reckon - We'll score first, start acting like it's easy and then get shown up.
Don't see many points being picked up below us in the table this weekend, so not a disaster, and I predict a "no change at the foot of the table" from Gary Lineker on MOTD.

Spurs last 5 home games have seen them ship 9 goals. Both teams will score, can we get a break today? 3 pts would be massive and I'd go as far as to say it would be the defining result and we would definitely stay up.

Dropping Guzan would only be an option if he had a better understudy. Given's a good shotstopper but offers nothing else. He has no control of his box (so would put more pressure on a weak defence) and makes too many mistakes. The save he made against Leicester which he got praised for was due to a mistake in the first place. It was bad enough dropping Okore and Lowton, the last thing we need is more change at the back. We need to pick our best back 5 and stick to it until the end of the season (injuries/suspensions permitting). For me that's Guzan-Hutton-Okore-Clark-Lowton, with possibly using Bacuna at right back when it suits us.

A good shot stopper and nothing else is how I'd describe Guzan rather than Given.
Guzan's distribution and decision making is woeful. I drop him in a heartbeat. I think Guzan is the most overatted player in the team.

Could really do with a win today otherwise it looks like new manager bounce is over and we're falling back into old habits.
