We could really do with not losing this one if you don't mind Tim.

Guzan, Bacuna, Vlaar, Clark, Richardson, Cleverley, Delph (c), Sanchez, Grealish, Agbonlahor, Benteke

Given, Baker, Okore, Weimann, Cole, N’Zogbia, Lowton

Oooohh

Grealish
Richardson
Bacuna
Three man midfield - or a diamond perhaps?
No nzogbia

All a little surprising

Quite pleased overall. Delph and cleverley will be crucial in supporting the attack.

The Gil thing if he doesn't have an injury is getting a bit stupid isn't it?

Getting very nervous already about this one. We need to get at their ageing midfield, that is going to be the key to this one I think

It's very strange. Looked a quality player, typical Spaniard and someone to get excited about, now he can't even get in the squad?

No Gil in the squad. Quite what the fuck Joe Cole, or Weimann offer from the bench over Gil is beyond me.

Lowton benched is harsh, Bacuna and Richardson are about as full on attacking full backs as you could get. Clark and Vlaar at the back is sensible I think. Glad Cleverley and Sanchez start with Delph to give depth.

Grealish - what a night to start. Good luck son.

Their front 6 are all very experienced, and their central 4 if you like, Austin, Zamora, Barton, Sandro are all very physical compared to ours. Caulker and Onourha will be up for the battle against Benteke unless he is bang on it too. The one player you look at and think sending off waiting to happen is Hill up against Grealish, but Jack needs to not throw himself to the floor.

The back of the sofa awaits, with hands above face.

With five changes we should be fresher - assuming they're genuinely fit

Let's get right at them from the outset

Grealish up against their ageing but experienced defence is a mouthwatering prospect.

COME ON YOU VILLA BOYS!!

I wonder if grealish is in partly to excite the fans?

Let's go for it from the off. But let's not chuck everyone forward and get rinsed on the break. And let's not let in yet another last minute winner if it's level

I've got a horrible feeling QPR will win 2-1.

Poor team selection if I'm honest.
Sanchez dear oh dear, and no Nzogbia ? Bizarre.
Joe Cole, bloody hell.

I have a sense of impending doom about this match.

Oh for a season of mid table comfort.

A bold and brave team selection for a game like this. Rather this approach than one where any confidence is paralysed by fear.

Whatever the result, we look like we will try and win rather than hope we don't loose.
