Must admit I was really impressed with this - I expected to see something similar at the other end, and was pleasantly surprised to see nothing, and that clearly it was something the club had organised. Made up for our banner doing the dying swan act before it got half way round!

Time to roll up the sleeves and concentrate on the league for the next few weeks Villa.  Get stuck in and fight for every single point available.

It was stopped there on purpose by our stewards CJ at the end of our block.  I'm assuming it was because they didn't want it interfering with the people holding up the cards for the mosaic.

Villa 6   Everton 2,  Sid Cowans running the show back in November, 1989.  There's some parallels between that Villa team and this in so much as an injection of positivity and confidence transformed the side.  I think we got a crucial win at home to Derby a few weeks before this and it seemed to lift the whole morale of the club, turning a lot of people's tips for relegation into title contenders - at least that's my hazy memory of  it all.

Get stuck in Villa.
