Did 'The Mighty Reds YNWA' and Blackburn start selling before their replay or are 'The Mighty Reds YNWA' now having to rush around getting their's sold ?

There were too many criteria. It was much simpler when it was vouchers from the back of the program :)

Only flogging them to personal callers seems a bit of a daft situation to have got ourselves into.

If the reason is because they can't guarantee tickets will arrive on time, then fair enough (mind you, why not? This isn't a third world country, we have a decent postal system, and maybe they could improve the delivery options using the offensive "processing charge" or whatever it is called these days), but they surely got themselves into this situation by spreading the differing criteria over so many days.

So, having only just found out about the availability of tickets, a week or so before the event, the criteria list having expired, it is down to people who want to go AND are able to get to Aston in midweek. Oh, and who are able to arrange transport / stopovers in that short period of time.

That strikes me as a not ideal situation.

Ridiculous when they have had four weeks to sell them.

The latter. But they didn't have to stagger it to so many levels as we chose to, there were three levels of sale and they were basically sold out by the weekend.

Have you tried phoning them Richard ? I've read a few posts and for people living outside of brum they've been doing next day delivery etc, worth a phone call!

Could do, but I turned down a few ticket references from kind people on here thinking I couldn't ring up, but had to be there in person!

What is the latest with numbers?  I need a ticket for my cousin but he didn't create a client ref when he bought his tickets.  Are we screwed?

Hanging around outside the ground with a few ''swaps'' trying to find someone who had a program voucher that you didn't have.

Maybe you could arrange your own courier to collect from Villa Park? DHL do this as a next day online service. No idea of the cost or if it would be OK with the ticket office though!

Richard, if you get any more reference offers and can negotiate a couple on top of any for yourself I'll happily go up to VP and to buy some for you and I if that's an option for you.

It's a long shot (and mods please delete and accept my apologies if this isn't allowed) but if anyone is willing to share a booking ref for 2 games so I cna go to VP this afternoon please DM me. Season ticket holder up until 2 years ago but have only been to the one game this season. And the last one of our original matchday line up not to get a ticket!

Many thanks in advance

Given that everyone who's been to a couple of cup games this season or is a ST holder was guaranteed to get a seat and that ordering early doesn't necessarily mean a better seat, Villa did seem to over complicate it a bit.

I assume that they wanted to spread out the demand but they could surely have done so in a less complicated manner.
